Park Amenities
From picnics and tennis, to walks and art, there's so much to do, see, and learn in Dimond Park. See below for information on the activities and amenities available at the park, as well as a map.
Lions Pool
Managed by the City of Oakland, programs include lap swimming, swimming classes and lessons for tiny tots, children and adults, swim team practice, and much more. Go here for more info.
Sausal Creek
The Sausal Creek Watershed is a 2,656-acre biodiversity hotspot, home to fish and wildlife, and a vital community resource. It is supported by the Friends of Sausal Creek.
Picnic Areas
The Redwood and Sequoia areas can accommodate up to 100 people and feature BBQ grills. The Dimond Grove area is limited to less than 25 people. See map for locations. Go here to reserve.
Tennis Courts
Get into the swing of things by playing tennis on one of Dimond Park's two courts. The courts can be reserved through the City of Oakland, or walk-on if they are open and available.
Trees & Plantings
The park is home to several native plant beds and a variety of tree species, including Redwoods, Sequoias, Stone Pines, Buckeyes, Oaks, and Elms. View tree map and key here.
Art & History
While the natural beauty of Dimond Park is the star attraction, if you look closely, you'll see historical artifacts and works of art all around you. Go here to view a slideshow of these items.
Playgrounds
Kids like to play, and there's no shortage of activity structures in Dimond Park. There are three different playgrounds: the Upper Playground, Lower Playground, and the Tot Lot. See map for locations.
Walking & Hiking
While there's lots to do in Dimond Park, sometimes a good, old-fashioned stroll is the perfect activity. See map to view pathways. There are also Sausal Creek hiking trails.
