Who We Are...What We Do

Friends of Dimond Park began in 2015 as a small group of neighbors and park users seeking improved accessibility at Dimond Park, which is situated on 12-acres of land in the Fruitvale section of Oakland, CA. We officially organized as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit group in 2017 to continue that work and expand efforts to ensure the diverse recreational needs of the community for an accessible, safe, well-maintained park are met.

Our volunteers help maintain, beautify, and advocate on behalf of the park. This includes working with City of Oakland agencies and elected officials, monthly work parties, donation drives to fund improvements, special events, increasing our roster of volunteers, and building connections with local schools and education programs.
